About us

History

The LACHSA Alumni Association (LAA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1996 by alumni from the first graduating class with support from LA County Supervisor Antonovich. in 2021 LAA became LACHSA LEGACY the Official Alumni Association of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. LEGACY's board and decisions are independent of LACHSA, Los Angeles County Office of Education, LACHSA Parent's Association and Arts High Foundation; however LACHSA LEGACY maintains a commitment to work diligently to build cohesion, unity, and community in concert with all LACHSA stakeholders to sustain and preserve the legacy and community of LACHSA and its alumni while maintaining its mission and vision.

To provide resources, inspiration & support to Alumni, fostering lifelong, artistic, intellectual, & emotional connections and commitment to LACHSA, each other, and the Arts!

from the BOARD

In 2019, we revamped our organizational infrastructure. We've spent the entire year working on re-building relationships and internal operations to support our work in supporting you, the alumni today and in the future! Some of that includes:

Repairing the fractured relationship between LACHSA administration and LAA
Rebuilding the corrupted database files
Overhauled the Scholarship Fund application process
And more...

In 2021, the LACHSA Alumni Association became LACHSA LEGACY- the official Alumni Association of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.

In 2022, we worked to strengthen our relationships with LACHSA, the Arts High Foundation, and the Parent's Association.
